The Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and LifeChronicles have united to offer Tiny Talks Videos. For children hospitalized and separated from their families due to long treatments, LifeChronicles records messages from parents, siblings, and friends that can be played any time during their hospitalization. This can be especially helpful for a child who is in isolation for a bone marrow transplant, or for kids who are in the hospital for extended periods of time. Tiny Talks also makes videos of children who are dying so that their parents can forever hold on to precious images of their children's lives.
Hugs for Cubs is an ongoing “buddy” program for children battling cancer, created by Santa Barbara amateur baseball team the Foresters. Through fun activities like bowling, surfing, and trips to Magic Mountain, the Foresters develop one-on-one friendships with kids facing the toughest challenge of their young lives.
Laura Inks, owner of ARTS ALIVE! Creativity Center , has graciously offered scholarships to Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation kids for Intergenerational Art Classes. The scholarships allow the kids to bring a parent, or any significant adult in their lives, to participate in hands-on classes that teach ceramics, jewelry making, sewing, painting, and knitting.
