The Santa Barbara Symphony's Musical Mentors program recently received $10,000 from the Citigroup Foundation. The music program provides free concert tickets to disadvantaged children through nonprofit groups and schools.
"The arts can inspire and motivate young people in particular," said Citibank's West Division President Lisa Barrett in a statement.
"Helping to foster an appreciation for the symphony, especially among students who might have few opportunities to experience it, ultimately benefits all of us in the community."
