2013 Grizzly Club Breakfast

In 2002, the year TBCF was founded, Larry Crandell introduced Eloy Ortega, Steve Cushman, Earl Armstrong, Keith Berry and Tom Parker to the organization. Following that introduction, the Foundation successfully began its mission of growing services offered in the Tri-County Region. Steve Cushman came up with the idea to create The Grizzly Club, a core group of community leaders working together to support local families with a child battling cancer. Two years later, in 2004, the Club was established and began to raise critical funds for the rapidly growing Foundation. The Grizzly Club and its dedicated members have been integral to the success of Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation.

The 2013 Grizzly Club Breakfast was held Wednesday, May 29 at Moby Dick Restaurant on Stearns Wharf. The Breakfast, sponsored by Eloy Ortega and Earl Armstrong, was attended by 67 community leaders and featured a video and touching story about the Andrade Family's experience supporting their young daughter's fight with Neuroblastoma. Thank you to everyone that came out to support this event and help raise critical funds for TBCF's Families

Why Gold?

Although many colors were considered, gold was agreed upon as the ideal choice for childhood cancer awareness because gold is a precious metal, and is therefore the perfect color to reflect the most precious thing in our lives - our children.
