Are you looking for an internship in Santa Barbara, CA? Internship opportunities bridge the gap between the educational and professional worlds, making it easier to transition from academic life into a career. At TBCF, we strive to provide a wonderful experience for our interns. Below are our current internship openings.

 

GOLD RIBBON CAMPAIGN INTERNSHIP

Desired Dates: June 15th – September 30th

 

Youth Philanthropy:

  • Partner with local youth in their pursuit to fundraise for TBCF

  • Provide guidance and support as needed

  • Fundraisers can be live or virtual, we encourage our youth to be creative and execute events that both excite and inspire them

​

Beneficiary Events:

  • Beneficiary events are fundraisers that are hosted by outside businesses/organizations that require staff time and promotion. These events vary in the staff “lift” from event to event and every one of them is unique​

  • Assist with coordination of various summer beneficiary events (TBD)

​

Business Partnership Program Research & Outreach:

  • Research businesses in Ventura County, North Santa Barbara County, and San Luis Obispo Counties with whom to engage and introduce ourselves

  • Stay on the pulse of current events in which TBCF could potentially pursue a tabling opportunity

  • One of our objectives is to expand our footprint in Ventura County, North Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo

Gold Ribbon Campaign Outreach:

  • Outreach to local business to get TBCF canisters placed in stores

  • Request that businesses place a gold ribbon in the front of their store to communicate their support of TBCF and pediatric cancer awareness month

  • Communicate to businesses the many ways they can host a fundraiser during the month of September

 

Social Media:

  • Help design social media posts according to TBCF brand guidelines

  • Social posts will then be reviewed and posted by the Fund Development team

​Marketing, PR and Advertising:

  • Assist in circulating press releases and collaborating with media contacts

  • Advertising in various media outlets, working with graphic designer and delivering final ads to local publications

GOLDEN GALA INTERNSHIP

Desired Dates: June 7th - October 15th OR July 13th - October 15th 

​

Auction Item Procurement & Tracking:

  • Contact businesses to request consideration for donated good/services to be used as auction items

  • Assist with record keeping and documentation of auction items

​

Oversight of Text-To-Give Platforms:

  • Assist with oversight of Text-to-Give platforms

​

Online Fundraising Pages:

  • Assist volunteers in setting up online fundraising pages

​

Event Mailing Support:

  • Assist with event specific mailings

​

Event Committee Meetings:

  • Organize and attend event committee meetings

​

Skills Required:

  • Strong computer skills are required

  • An interest to learn more bout non-profits & TBCF
