BECOME A TBCF INTERN
Are you looking for an in-person internship in Santa Barbara? Internship opportunities bridge the gap between the educational and professional worlds, making it easier to transition from academic life into a career. At TBCF, we strive to provide a wonderful experience for our interns. Below are our current internship openings. We offer three internships per year.
CAMPAIGN & EVENT INTERN
Desired Dates: July 13th - September 25th, 2026
The Campaign & Event Intern will work alongside the Fund Development team to support Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation’s September initiatives. The role will support the planning and execution of the Golden Gala, TBCF’s primary annual fundraising event on September 19th. The intern will assist with event logistics, coordination, and preparation to help ensure a successful event. Availability is required the day before the event, the day of the event, and the following day.
The Gold Ribbon Campaign is held in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness month. In the summer months leading up to September, the intern will assist with planning and implementing marketing, outreach, and fundraising initiatives designed to raise awareness and generate support for local families battling pediatric cancer.

PROJECT HOLIDAY INTERNSHIP
Bilingual in Spanish & English Required
Desired Dates: September – December, 2026
Gift Procurement and Tracking:

Identify opportunities to engage local businesses and schools to participate in our Project Holiday Programs

Outreach to the community to secure Thanksgiving food gift baskets, $25 Holiday Party gifts, and $100 Project Christmas gifts
-
Communicate with TBCF Families to secure wish list items for Project Christmas
-
Track incoming gifts, baskets and donations as they are delivered to our office
Holiday Party Planning:
-
Work with Family Engagement Manager in all aspects of party planning
-
Communicate with venue and vendors
-
Assist in design of promotions and social media advertising
-
Assist with party set-up and break-down
-
Engage with families, staff and volunteers at party
